It was resolved to relief Metropolitan Mark of Budapest and Hungary of his duty as administrator of the Diocese of Budapest-Hungary and to thank him for the work he had carried out.
Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk was appointed as administrator of the Diocese of Budapest-Hungary and relieved of his duties as Сhairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, permanent member of the Holy Synod and rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Institute of Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies.
Metropolitan Anthony of Chersonesus was appointed as DECR Chairman and permanent member of the Holy Synod with the title of Metropolitan of Volokolamsk, with retention of his position as administrator of the Exarchate of Western Europe and head of the Moscow Patriarchate Office for the Institutions Abroad and with relieving him of the administration of the Diocese of Chersonesus.
The temporary administration of the Diocese of Chersonesus was entrusted to Archbishop Nestor of Madrid and Lisbon.
Archpriest Maxim Kozlov, chairman of the Education Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church was appointed as rector of the Ss Cyril and Methodius Institute for Post-Graduate and Doctoral Studies, with retention of his precious positions.
