Metropolitan Anthony of Chersonesus meets with Catholic Archbishop of Milan

On December 20, 2021, Metropolitan Anthony of Chersonesus and Western Europe, currently on a working visit to Lombardy, met with the Catholic Archbishop of Milan Mario Enrico Delpini.

During the talk that took place at the building of the Archdiocesan Curia, the Metropolitan told Archbishop Delpini about the life of the Moscow Patriarchate parishes in Italy and about the work of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Administration for Institutions Abroad. 

Metropolitan Anthony pointed out that most of the Russian Orthodox Church communities are located in the ecclesiastical territory of the Archdiocese of Milan in the Apennines and thanked Archbishop Delpini for church buildings put at the disposal of the Moscow Patriarchate for meeting the needs of the local parishes. 

At the end of the meeting held in a warm atmosphere the interlocutors exchanged souvenirs.
Taking part in the talk were also Archimandrite Ambrose (Makar), rector of the parish of St. Ambrose, and Deacon Roberto Pagani representing the Curia of Milan.
