On January 12, 2022, the first anniversary of the demise of Metropolitan Philaret (Vakhromeyev), the first Honorary Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, website MF-memory.by began its work. Metropolitan Philaret chaired the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations from 1981 to 1989.

The project has been implemented by an initiative group of parishioners of the church of St. Alexander Nevsky with support of its rector, Archpriest Nikolay Korzhich, who served as secretary of the Minsk diocesan administration from 2002 to 2016. Ms Ksenia Knaus is the project author and coordinator.

Among archive materials one can find on the website are those provided by the Minsk diocesan administration, Minsk theological seminary and academy, and the church of St. Alexander Nevsky.

As of today, posted on the website are over three hundred articles written by Metropolitan Philaret and his Paschal and Christmas messages.
